Further to the previous blog about the British Nordic Walking Challenge Events. I have received information relating to the Nottingham Event due to take place on 12th May 2018.
The distances have been changed to a 5km (3miles), 10km (6miles) and mini Challenges of 1km and 2km (which will be suitable for young, elderly or people who can only walk short distances). We are often asked why we recce every walk we do and this is a prime example of why.
Last Saturday we set out to take a look at the Newbiggin and the Carrier’s Way walk, starting from Blanchland. It was a damp and foggy day, even in Sunderland and it wasn’t any different when we arrived in Blanchland, although the rain had eased off.
