As usual, we had a great time teaching another group of lovely people to Learn to Nordic Walk at Wallington. Everyone arrived early, keen to get on with the training.

This was the last of our first six Nordic Walking training sessions at Wallington. The good news is that we are going to continue delivering sessions here, for the rest of the year.

We started with the training on the grass in front of the clock tower. As usual, not everyone really gets the technique at this stage, but everyone was able to do it enough to get out for the walk. The walk is where we can hone the technique and provide pointers to improve on.

Towards the end of the walk, we think that everyone had seen the benefits of Nordic Walking. This can be in different ways, as one of our walkers found. He couldn’t really see the benefits until he walked faster and uphill. That was the light bulb moment and it is often different for different people. It’s definitely worth persevering.

We finished off the walk with the customary cool down and then off to the cafe.

Thank you all for coming along and we hope to see you again.
