We start by walking through the village to the bridge over the river and then take the path along the river to Irthing House. From here we follow the path through a field and up onto a road. The top of the road gives us a great view over the village.
A little way up the road we take a path into the woods by the river. This is probably the prettiest part of the walk, as it winds down towards a bridge over to the spa. At the other side of the bridge you can visit the original spring around which the spa was formed. Water still flows from it but it is rather sulphurous.
Instead of taking the path on the other side of the bridge, we take a path through a small nature reserve, to another bridge. From here the path moves away from the river and into fields and woodland. Eventually, it brings us out above Crammel Linn.
Hope to see you there.
