Nordic Walk at Wallington   Image result for national Trust Logo

We have teamed up with the National Trust property of Wallington to provide Nordic Walks in the beautiful grounds of this wonderful historic property.

Wallington - Wallington-9

All of the facilities of Wallington are available here, so it is an ideal place to continue Nordic Walking whilst seeing parts of the Estate which you may not have seen.

Wallington - Wallington-7

We will meet in the Visitors Centre at 1.15 pm, where if you need poles we can provide them.  From here we will do our warm up and start on the walk.  The Nordic Walk at Wallington will be around 5 miles in distance and will include a few small inclines/declines.  It will be circular walk, so will start and finish at the Visitors Centre.

Wallington - Wallington-8

It will be a great chance to receive more tips and advice on your technique from both Julie and Martin.  We will also visit the Clock Tower Cafe, in the courtyard, after the walk, if you want to join us.

Hope to see you there

Julie and Martin

Questions

What is Nordic walking?

We wrote a blog entitled “What is Nordic walking?” to explain what Nordic Walking is and the benefits to you.

Why are we walking on the grass?

Grass is an excellent surface to learn and practice the INWA 10 Step Method™ for a few reasons:

  1. The surface is usually flat with no obstacles, which means your posture remains correct without worrying about tripping over;
  2. When placing your pole behind you it is much easier to get good purchase to push through the strap to assist your technique; and
  3. You will have beautiful scenery.

What do I need to bring?

On our website we have a FAQ (Frequently asked questions) section that will provide you with more information.
