Cresswell beach is part of Druridge Bay, which extends from Cresswell Village, at the South end, all the way up to Amble. It is the longest stretch of beach in Northumberland. It is also one of the best.

The start of the walk is the car park across the road from The Drift Cafe. We will make our way down to the beach and begin following the sand Northwards. The route is the same as we used for the Memory Walk, so those who did this charity walk will be familiar with the route. We will start with the 9 mile walkers and walk with them to the half way point.
Half way through the walk we will turn around and head back to the start, leaving the 9 mile walkers to carry on to Druridge Bay Country Park.
The Drift Cafe
As is tradition, we end with a trip to a tea shop. This one is one of our favourites, The Drift Cafe. It is a dog freindly venue with great homemade food, especially the scones and cakes. You will receive a warm welcome from Duncan and Kate, unless they are cooking.
If the weather is good you can sit outside on the wooden seating and maybe even see some rare birds. Even if it’s cold you can borrow a blanket.
Hope to see you there,
Julie and Martin
