The start

The start of the walk is the car park across the road from The Drift Cafe.  We will make our way down to the beach and begin following the sand Northwards.  The route is the same as we used for the Memory Walk, so those who did this charity walk will be familiar with the route.

Druridge Bay Country Park

Half way through the walk we reach Druridge Bay Country Park.  There are toilets and a cafe here, if anyone needs to use the facilities.  We will take a break here and look at the lake before returning the way we came along the beach.

The Drift Cafe

As is tradition, we end with a trip to a tea shop.  This one is one of our favourites, The Drift Cafe.  It is a dog freindly venue with great homemade food, especially the scones and cakes.  You will receive a warm welcome from Duncan and Kate, unless they are cooking.

If the weather is good you can sit outside on the wooden seating and maybe even see some rare birds.  Even if it’s cold you can borrow a blanket.

Hope to see you there,

Julie and Martin
