We have a 2019 date for your diary – SATURDAY 26TH OCTOBER 2019! Yes we know it is very early but we don’t want you to miss out.
At the Swainby/Osmotherley walk Angela and I were chatting and she said she would like to do a walk in memory of her lovely mum, Eileen, to raise money for Dementia UK. I offered to help Angela organise this walk.
We chatted about dates and Angela told me her mum would have been 100 on 24th October 2019. Unfortunately this date is a Thursday so we have decided to chose the date of SATURDAY 26TH OCTOBER 2019.

Dementia
There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK, with numbers set to rise to over 1 million by 2025. 225,000 will develop dementia this year, that’s one every three minutes. 1 in 6 people over the age of 80 have dementia.
