Yeavering Bell

Yeavering Bell is a very historical place.  It has the largest hill fort in the region.  Within it there are remains of over one hundred timber round houses.

We will begin our walk at Wooler Common car park.  From here we will head out along St Cuthbert’s Way.  However, we will take a route under Humbleton Hill, before crossing Akeld Burn and then climbing Yeavering Bell.

The route back is across Wooler Common, on St Cuthbert’s Way.
